LG Showcased the World’s First LTE USB Modem at CommunicAsia 2009
Recently at CommunicAsia LG demonstrated the world’s first handset modem chip based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. It is nearly 10 times faster than the fastest 3G HSDPA handsets available today and LG showed how this chip can be used to simultaneously download four HD-quality videos and play them back in real-time.
Actually this was not the first time LG showed off the LTE USB modem. Nortel already utilized LG LTE USB modem for its LTE solution demo at Mobile World Congress 2009 in February.
You can watch the video at the featured video section on the right side bar to have idea how smooth the HD video streaming using LG USB LTE modem at MWC 2009.
